MARCUS LAPORTE


Marcus LaPorte is a Studio Artist & Production Designer based in Austin, Texas, with over 20 years of film industry experience, that began in 2001 at Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios.

Marcus’ cumulative expertise in custom prop fabrication, set design, and special effects have significantly contributed to over 30 blockbuster feature films, including Sin City, Predators, True Grit, and Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof.

Around 2010, Marcus’ broad skillset allowed him to seamlessly transition to Production Designer and Art Director roles, building an impressive portfolio of hundreds of creatively driven commercial advertising projects with clients such as Apple, Disney, Warner Bros, Nike, Visa, and Meow Wolf.

In 2014, Marcus joined Rooster Teeth Productions, serving as their full-time Production Designer, showcasing his talent across a staggering body of work over the next 8 years, including 6 feature films, 58 short films, 210 episodes across 17 television series, 13 video podcast series, and culminated in 2022 with an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Interactive Media" for his work on the non-linear concept In Space with Markiplier directed by Mark Fischbach.

Currently, Marcus is designing sets for Tom Segura’s YMH Studios, crafting custom props for Marvel and LucasFilm, all while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality under non-disclosure agreements.

THOMAS SCHNEIDER


Based in Austin, TX, Thomas Schneider is a versatile artist and designer with a 25-year career. He's built an impressive portfolio, crafting everything from studio bronze sculptures to film props for major motion pictures. With a Master of Fine Arts degree, Thomas combines academic principles with practice, honing his craft whether he is teaching students or working in the world of the commercial arts.

His meticulous work in the studio propelled him into the commercial film industry, creating both intricate hand props and large set constructions. His career path led him to New York, where he worked for over a decade in the bustling east coast film industry, contributing to acclaimed movies such as Batman: The Dark Knight Rises and The Irishman as well as countless episodes for streaming services and television.  His attentiveness and impeccable set etiquette led to him becoming one of the city’s top armorers, where he earned the trust of cast and crew alike whether it was overseeing safety during the filming of intense action scenes or training actors.

Now back home, Thomas focuses on art direction, design, and fabrication for film and corporate events, utilizing his industry network and expertise. Committed to excellence, he’s poised to contribute to Austin's expanding film and commercial art industry.


ANDREW MILLER


Andrew is a veteran filmmaker and DP, based in Austin since 2003. He has broad experience in film production, working across domains ranging from major studio productions to commercial, documentary, news, and corporate comms.

Andrew leads the production company Dox, which emphasizes lean and mobile teams able to produce top-tier production value in any environment. Finding his niche in nonfiction work, Andrew has led camera departments for features like Nothing Stays the Same (SXSW Audience Award winner 2019), Mo Amer: The Vagabond (Netflix 2018), and Hot Grease (Discovery, 2017).

Andrew also produces and directs, as in his short doc, A Bold Experiment, which won the Best Mini Documentary award at the Big Sky Film Festival in 2020. He is currently working on Underbelly, a documentary investigating the US dog breeding industry.
